Freddie Mercury... 20 years on

Its two days late but on the 24th November it was 20 years since the death of Queens front man Freddie Mercury.
Anyone that knows me personally will know that Queen are my favorite band and have been an inspiration from a very young age.
At 8 years old I remember watching Top Of The Pops 2 and 'This could be heaven for everyone' came on, something just drew me in and I was obsessed from that day on.
The fact I never had to a chance to Freddie Mercury will forever break my heart but his memory is still very much alive and always will be. The fact its been 20 years is just insane and to think the impact he still has on the music scene is just incredible.
I was lucky enough to attend a tribute concert on Friday in memory of Freddie Mercury. I had my special Queen T-shirt, this is one of my lucky charms and Ive had it since I was about 9... it was once black and long sleeved.. now it is grey and sleeveless but I always wear it as it means alot to me.
The night was full of die hard Queen fans and the vibe as always was electric.
The night was backed by the SAS band who were fantastic. The first artist from the wonderful Kerry Ellis, she was in the original cast for We Will Rock you and I've loved her since. She started with 'Only  the good die young', this was the song Brian May wrote for Freddie when he died and is a personal favorite of mine. Brian May was then introduced onto stage, as expected I broke down, there is just the sense of seeing someone who you love so much in the flesh and I just ended up a sobbing mess! He was absolutely wonderful as always and it was so special to see him perform these amazing Queen songs.
The night was filled with some amazing acts who played a variety of songs from the 70's and of course some of the best loved Queen songs.
To my absolute shock Tony Vincent took to the stage about mid way through. Tony Vincent was the original Galileo in We Will Rock You and I was a huge fan. His voice is absolutely stunning and I actually met him about 9 years ago which was a great honour.
Freddie Mercury will always be my idol and below I've shared some of my favorite Queen songs, please take some time to listen to them to honour his memory.
