On Saturday 16th July I will be taking over the Magpie in Walton On Thames for a fun filled night of 80's!
I cannot wait- ive never done a straight 80's night so im really looking forward to it.
Ive been trying to think of the best 80's tracks and there are just TOO MANY!
I'm going to round some up on my next post but until then make sure you book time off for this amazing night in a fab venue and dance the night away!

Exciting....

Last night was very interesting!... obviously being back in London I'm trying to get myself known and out there....its the way the DJ world works generally.

So ......I went to a certain bar last night and have bagsied myself a slot at a certain event this Saturday!!- I'm so chuffed and excited!! Like 100% babe this is a hour to show my thing and hopefully (fingers crossed) nail it and get more work.

I'm only being secretive as just confirming it because the day after the night before can always be a bit of a haze and I get concerned i dreamt this amazing news!

To be continued........

100% babe

So last night I did an hour at 100% babe. It was so much fun, great crowd of people. I played a complete variety of stuff as really wanted to show case abit of everything. I went safe indie so I played some funky remixes e.g the naked and famous, the gossip vs elastica. I then went quite dancy/dnb so the new DJ Fresh one which always goes down really well and to mix things up I did a few guilty pleasures like Nicole Scherzinger. One girl went insane to 'Dont hold your breath'...to the point it looked like she was in the dance video.

The bar staff were fantastic and even they were dancing so I took that as a good sign. After my set I decided to party the night away... its such a good night. I was concerned because alot of club nights are so busy to the point you cant move and it takes hours to get a drink but the capacity at 100% babe was brilliant!

Hopefully ill be doing some more work with these guys on upcoming events.

100% babe

This Saturday I will be spinning the decks at 100% babe in London. Its one of London's premier lesbian nights and I'm really excited! I'm pretty nervous but I'm just crossing my fingers that the crowd will be nice and welcoming!

Ive got half and hour to impress all the girlies as well as set the bar high as I'm warming up for the beautiful Christina Novelli.

Its going to be a fantastic night so if you are around in London this Saturday do pop down and say hey! (also dance like made during my set)

A xx

Handsome men....

In my last months of madness I was also really lucky to DJ with XFM DJ Dan O'Connell. As you can see on the heading of my blog there is a lovely little quote from him!

I was chosen to taken part in the SRA soundclash which gave student DJ's the opportunity to DJ alongside industry professional DJ's such as Greg James and of course Dan O'Connell.

Dan was lovely....it helped that he was a bit of a looker too.
I won the soundclash...I'm not putting myself down but with these kind of competitions I think i got it through default ...not that I'm going to complain!

UPDATE!

A lot is happening right now!.... various things are in the mix and in discussion but I will update you on here.

The last few months have been insane.... I was lucky enough to DJ alongside Jo Whiley at Staffordshire Universities summer ball 2011. She was so lovely and me and my fellow DJ buddy Scott Thomas were very honored and proud to get this opportunity

So university is over and it is time to take control of my life!
I have DJ-ed for 6 years now and only very recently did it dawn on me that I am still getting paid work so I must actually be quite good at DJ-ing!
Ive had a great few years and now that I have finished university I am continuing my DJ career- the link for my facebook page is on your right- via this link and my blog here I will update you and keep you informed of gigs and opportunities coming my way!
